Obambi breaks campaign promise on Day 9 30 Jan 2009 @ 15:58Posted by Supreme General Rayegun in : I'm callin' SHENANIGINS, Politics , add a comment
Looks like the “Annointed One” ain’t all that.
D’uh. We all knew that any way.
Well check out this lovely gem from PolitiFact.
Anyone wanna start a pool on how many will get broken within the first 100 days?
Here’s the promise:
To reduce bills rushed through Congress and to the president before the public has the opportunity to review them, Obama “will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days.”
Here’s what happened:
But the first bill Obama signed into law as president — the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act — got no such vetting.
In fact, the Congressional Record shows that the law was passed in the Senate on Jan. 22, 2009, passed in the House on Jan. 27, and signed by the president on Jan. 29. So only two days passed between the bill’s final passage and the signing.
The legislation was not posted to the White House Web site for comment in any way that we could find.
I know, I know, I know…..no surprises.
BREAKING: Blago a-gone gone (UPDATED) 29 Jan 2009 @ 16:57Posted by Supreme General Rayegun in : Breaking News, Politics , add a comment
Initial reports are what we would expect.
The state Senate initially voted 59-0 for removal, a second vote (due to a technical glitch) is occurring now and appears to be running on par with the initial vote.
More as it happens.
(UPDATE #1): Reports show that the recount ended with the same results, 59-0 to remove from office.
Guess who else’s bills we’re paying…? 22 Jan 2009 @ 13:18Posted by Supreme General Rayegun in : I'm callin' SHENANIGINS, Politics , add a comment
All of us are patently aware that there’s more and more month at the end of the money these days. We’re also aware that banks, mortgage lenders, and potentially the automakers are getting a bailout — which ends up coming out of our (as in yours and mine) pockets…..emptier as they’re getting.
But when you read this article, prepare for a RCOB moment (as Darth is so famous for using) or at least keep a roll of duct tape handy to keep thy noggin’ from ‘splodin.
Today taxpayers are supporting our former presidents to the tune of more than $2.9 million. Their yearly salary pension is $191,000. Aside from that, each gets a staff; that staff costs you, the taxpayer, $96,000 per president.
Yeah, ain’t that just speh-shulllllll to quote the Church Lady from SNL.
But it should come as no surprise as to who the greediest bastard is when expecting us to pay for his “bills” is. Read and prepare for the RCOB. Duct tape is optional.
You have been warned.
The immaculation continues… 21 Jan 2009 @ 18:24Posted by Supreme General Rayegun in : Politics, RCOB , add a comment
For those that haven’t turned on the TV or haven’t looked at the news websites (which around here means exactly no one since Darth and I are aware of how up-to-date all 3 of you are on current events)….Hitlary was confirmed as Slutkitary of State-less earlier today by a 94-2 vote. After reading this article though, it seems there are still some unanswered questions.
While there is some slightly minor redeeming value that Cornyn was holding up the proceedings…..he was NOT one of the two to vote against the confirmation. That was left to Republican senators Jim DeMint of SC and David Vitter of LA, as confirmed by RollCall in this article……my question is — who were the senators that abstained or were not present to vote (aside from Herr Chappaquiddick)?
Another thing that the RollCall article mentioned, and that I found VERY interesting was this:
In a strongly worded floor speech, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the 2008 GOP presidential nominee, demanded support for Clinton’s installment. Soon after his remarks, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said he “enthusiastically” supported her.
Rush nailed it pretty well when he said this on today’s show:
… But I have learned from this, I have learned from the past 24 hours, Mr. Snerdley, I understand what it’s all about now. I am the Last Man Standing, ladies and gentlemen, with all of you, too, but I’m talking about it in terms of national figure. There’s nobody in the Republican Party, there is no elected Republican Party leadership. I’m it. I am the one resisting the tug of popular sentiment. The whole country — well, not the whole country, but a good portion of the whole country has checked their brains at the door. They have just gotten caught up in this wave of popular sentiment. Newt Gingrich is caught up in it, Tom Coburn is caught up in it, the entire Republican Party, except maybe John Cornyn and Jeff Sessions, are caught up in it. Kay Bailey Hutchison running for Texas in 2010, she’s not caught up in it, but most of the conservative media totally caught up in the tug of popular sentiment.
Okay, so there’s gonna be some argument about that last part…..but for the most part he’s right.
Hope y’all are stockpiling (or have been for some time now), cause it’s gonna get ugly fast folks.

This is about all I got for today from the Southern Command. Going out-of-town for the weekend.
Seems like Annie and a whole bunch of others are doing just that. FoxNews article points out that us folks that got a clue are doing our darnedest to ensure we don’t have our Second Amendment rights taken from us.
Here’s a thought, let’s make sure by enforcing our Second Amendment rights that we also make sure Al Obambi and his SekretPolicia don’t get their slimy fingers on our Fourth Amendment rights in the process.
Is it just me, or … 12 Jan 2009 @ 16:46Posted by Supreme General Rayegun in : Breaking News, Military , add a comment
… is there really a problem here.
When I read this article, I had to start scratching the ol’ noggin’.
Seeing that it’s likely the “change” would occur during the Manchurian Muslim’s watch, I’m like “Some change. More American jobs lost. Thanks a trillion, Al Obambi”
Being former USAF myself, I’m also a taaaaad bit concerned that the US military is going to consider going outside our shores for such a critical piece of hardware. Not to mention the ripple effect that this decision could have on American manufacturers that support our men and women in the military.

Today was a good day for the ladies to bash the MSM. Soooo good I didn’t know which one I wanted to blog about, so I’m just going to drop links to both!!!
And then, just for Darth, here’s his favorite “goo goo doll” blasting the MSM (namely Kyra Phillips from CNN) for her on-air attempt at trashing Joe the Plumber because he is going to be a reporter in Gaza.
Enjoy. It’s Friday after all!!

Via a stable wormhole provided by my team in the Department of Stargate Stuff, this is coming to you from the present into the past….
SG RAYEGUN: No Korrioth, there were not any Klingons used to establish the wormhole…..
On this date and time….at some point in the past….your General was welcomed into the barracks. Yes, it’s the Generals’ birthday. Yes, he’s grumpy and cranky today…..hence the reason the scientists had to open the wormhole to send this post back in time.
And since he has your attention, there are a few announcements needing to be made.
1. The chick-chasing ways that Darth seems to thrive on are no more for your General. He has found a proper Generalette.
2. Your General has FINALLY completed his latest instance of college education and OFFICIALLY received his diploma on December 23, 2008. For those who are curious, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.
3. The Southern Command HQ and all related areas WILL BE relocating to an as-of-yet determined undisclosed location BEFORE the summer. Yes, this to allow the new Generalette proper access to the various Command HQ entities. No date yet, but more information will be forthcoming. Keep comm channels open.
