Common sense found 30 Dec 2012 @ 08:08

In a government. Surprise, surprise.

But not in America. {No surprise there}

It’s in France no less.

Embattled French President Francois Hollande suffered a fresh setback Saturday when France’s highest court threw out a plan to tax the ultrawealthy at a 75 percent rate, saying it was unfair.

In a stinging rebuke to one of Socialist Hollande’s flagship campaign promises, the constitutional council ruled Saturday that the way the highly contentious tax was designed was unconstitutional. It was intended to hit incomes over €1 million ($1.32 million).

The largely symbolic measure would have only hit a small number of taxpayers and brought in an estimated €100 million to €300 million — an insignificant amount in the context of France’s roughly €85 billion deficit.

Who’d a thunk it? The French, with a far-left SOCIALIST president (further left than Al-Obambi mind you), have the smarts to realize taxing the wealth ain’t gonna fix the problem.

Bravo French courts, bravo.

This should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone here at the Southern Command. And given Al-Obambi’s penchant for “fundamental transformation” it’s no surprise that the carpet baggers (aka Sen. Chuck Schumer) from New Yawrk are willingly following suit. Follow along here if you will…..

The Senate approved a $60.4 billion recovery package on Friday intended to help the states affected by Hurricane Sandy in November. Appearing on “Cavuto” on Friday night, American Majority Action spokesman Ron Meyer said the bill was also packed with tons of “pork” spending, some of which won’t even occur until after 2013.

Some of the pork spending reportedly goes towards projects that have nothing to do with Hurricane Sandy or the victims, including millions of dollars for tree planting in areas untouched by Sandy and a new roof for the Smithsonian Museum. When an elected representative appropriates government spending for local projects to help his or her district, it is know as “pork barrel” spending.

Wait…the hypocrisy of Schumer continues!

…$1 out of every $20 spent in the Sandy bill will go to “non-relief-related pork.”

Yes folks, THAT’S our CON-gress in action.

Excuse me, I’m going to get sick. AGAIN!

Job-swapping Emanuel may not get his end of the deal 25 Jan 2011 @ 20:37

In case you missed it back on Monday, the Illinois Appeals Court ruled that Rahm Emanuel was ineligible to run for Chicago mayor because he did not meet the residency requirement. Now since then, the Illinois Supreme Court has spoken that his name can stay on the ballot until they make a final ruling.

What makes this funny to us here at the Southern Command is that Rahm was replaced in his former Chief of Staff position by the one of the Chicago Daley clan, Bill. With current mayor Dick Daley confirming that he was not going to run for a seventh term, Rahm figured he be a shoo-in…..especially if he got a Daley to take his place in the White House. Ipso facto, Chicago politics in action.

If this latest development holds up (let’s pray it does), and the IL Supreme’s state that the Appeals court got it right you can bet there’s going to be an “emergency” that Rahm will make sure he doesn’t miss. For now, we wait to see how the high court decides the matter.

Chicago thuggery continues unabated 16 Dec 2009 @ 19:57

Folks, I don’t even know for sure where to start with this one.

What am I talking about you ask?

Just as the title implies, the Al Capone Chicago mob style of thuggery displayed in the movie “The Untouchables” can now be seen in full 1080p HD color and 7.1 Dolby™ Surround Sound coming from you guessed it….1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C., USA.

If bribing and all out coercement of Sen. Lieberman yesterday to secure his vote of approval on the Un-Health Care-less bill by having the thugs go after his WIFE wasn’t enough, now Al-Obmabi and Co. are using YOUR’S AND MY military as a political pawn thereby threatening true national security.

Seems that one Sen. Bob Nelson (D-NE) isn’t playing ball like the rest of the team. So just like Al Capone, the Slime House decided enough is enough and tossed out this “threat” today even though they are denying the reports.

Just the threat of putting a base like Offutt on the BRAC is enough for this General to call shenanigans. Yet, given the all to common penchant of the Demonscums whole-hearted distaste and disdain for anything military, such a threat coming from the Slime House is really not an utter surprise. If Al-Obambi was such a huge supporter of the military then why in SAM HELL did he take more than NINETY FARKING D—A—Y—S to make a decision to essentially laugh in Gen. McCrystal’s request for more troops in Afghanistan and only authorize just slightly more than HALF of the forces requested. Not to mention phasing in those troops over an extended period of time instead of an all-at-once deployment as McCrystal requested. And cutting the military budget is not just a “fashion statement” for Al-Obambi and Co., rather it’s a game plan opener to lead off the “social justice” playbook scripted plays.

I’m fairly sure Al Capone and every Chicago mobster, dead or alive, is smiling today. For their way of life is still alive and kicking even though it’s not residing on Michigan Avenue or Lakefront Drive, but rather Pennsylvania Avenue.

Impeachment is too easy of an out for this one…..the thin line of treason is about to be crossed by the Executive AND certain members of the Legislative branches.

Keep that in mind as the days wane on as more and more of the liberties and freedom of WE THE PEOPLE are striped from us. And not even during the light of day, nor honestly. But much like a thief, they’re being stolen in the dead, dark of night.

America, it’s time WE THE PEOPLE take back our country.

What choice are you going to make?

Al-Obambi signed the Porkulus bill earlier today. Get ready for the floor to drop out from under us all…..

UPDATE: Looks like the stock market clued in pretty damn fast. The DOW closed down THREE HUNDRED POINTS today, closing at a new low not seen in nearly a decade. Which was when boys and girls???? Can you say “Kaiser Wilhelm Von Slickmeister” and the previous reigning administration of deceit and lies???? I knew you could.

Talk about a lie….the “American Recovery and Reinvestment Act” as we all know is just a swindler’s way of saying “tax and spend”, which we all know is the modus operandi of the Demonscum since FDR. Not only that, but by signing the bill, Al-Obambi has broken YET ANOTHER campaign promise (certainly won’t be the last you can bet). Need further information on just how BAD this pork is and the lies, check out some of these tidbits from this article by Joseph Farah:

“When there is a bill that ends up on my desk as the president, you the public will have five days to look online and find out what’s in it before I sign it,” he said. His campaign called the idea the “sunshine before signing promise.”

…exactly one business day after the approval of the bill, Obama has signaled he will sign it.

You might want to sit down for this…….

* Before this bill is signed, actual federal obligations are already $65.5 trillion – exceeding the gross domestic product of the entire world.

* The Obama administration economic stimulus package is going to force the Treasury to borrow approximately $2.5 trillion in 2009 and another $4 trillion in 2010, with the result of increasing the current $10 trillion national debt by 65 percent in just two years. If the Obama administration increases the national debt by 65 percent every two years, the debt will be $16.5 trillion in 2010 and $27.225 trillion by 2012, the year of the next presidential election.

* If you had gone into business on the day Jesus was born, and your business lost a million dollars a day, 365 days a year, it would take you until October 2737 to lose $1 trillion.

* $1 trillion dollars divided by 300 million Americans comes out to $3,333 per person.

* One trillion $1 bills stacked one on top of the other would reach nearly 68,000 miles into the sky, about a third of the way from the Earth to the moon.

* Earth’s home galaxy, the Milky Way, is estimated to contain about 200 billion stars. So, if each star cost $1, $1 trillion would buy five Milky Way galaxies full of stars.

If you’re not sick yet, you will be once this payable starts going for your wallet.

Methinks it’s time to start the secession petitions folks. I for one certainly want off this donktard bus….cause it “fo’ shure” ain’t goin’ in the right direction…..

Obligatory RCOB in 5…4….3………..

Obambi breaks campaign promise on Day 9 30 Jan 2009 @ 15:58

Looks like the “Annointed One” ain’t all that.

D’uh. We all knew that any way.

Well check out this lovely gem from PolitiFact.

Anyone wanna start a pool on how many will get broken within the first 100 days?

Here’s the promise:

To reduce bills rushed through Congress and to the president before the public has the opportunity to review them, Obama “will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days.”

Here’s what happened:

But the first bill Obama signed into law as president — the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act — got no such vetting.

In fact, the Congressional Record shows that the law was passed in the Senate on Jan. 22, 2009, passed in the House on Jan. 27, and signed by the president on Jan. 29. So only two days passed between the bill’s final passage and the signing.

The legislation was not posted to the White House Web site for comment in any way that we could find.

I know, I know, I know…..no surprises.

BREAKING: Blago a-gone gone (UPDATED) 29 Jan 2009 @ 16:57

Posted by Supreme General Rayegun in : Breaking News, Politics , comments closed

Initial reports are what we would expect.

The state Senate initially voted 59-0 for removal, a second vote (due to a technical glitch) is occurring now and appears to be running on par with the initial vote.

More as it happens.

(UPDATE #1): Reports show that the recount ended with the same results, 59-0 to remove from office.

All of us are patently aware that there’s more and more month at the end of the money these days. We’re also aware that banks, mortgage lenders, and potentially the automakers are getting a bailout — which ends up coming out of our (as in yours and mine) pockets…..emptier as they’re getting.

But when you read this article, prepare for a RCOB moment (as Darth is so famous for using) or at least keep a roll of duct tape handy to keep thy noggin’ from ‘splodin.

Today taxpayers are supporting our former presidents to the tune of more than $2.9 million. Their yearly salary pension is $191,000. Aside from that, each gets a staff; that staff costs you, the taxpayer, $96,000 per president.

Yeah, ain’t that just speh-shulllllll to quote the Church Lady from SNL.

But it should come as no surprise as to who the greediest bastard is when expecting us to pay for his “bills” is. Read and prepare for the RCOB. Duct tape is optional.

You have been warned.

For those that haven’t turned on the TV or haven’t looked at the news websites (which around here means exactly no one since Darth and I are aware of how up-to-date all 3 of you are on current events)….Hitlary was confirmed as Slutkitary of State-less earlier today by a 94-2 vote. After reading this article though, it seems there are still some unanswered questions.

While there is some slightly minor redeeming value that Cornyn was holding up the proceedings…..he was NOT one of the two to vote against the confirmation. That was left to Republican senators Jim DeMint of SC and David Vitter of LA, as confirmed by RollCall in this article……my question is — who were the senators that abstained or were not present to vote (aside from Herr Chappaquiddick)?

Another thing that the RollCall article mentioned, and that I found VERY interesting was this:

In a strongly worded floor speech, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the 2008 GOP presidential nominee, demanded support for Clinton’s installment. Soon after his remarks, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said he “enthusiastically” supported her.

WTF????

Rush nailed it pretty well when he said this on today’s show:

… But I have learned from this, I have learned from the past 24 hours, Mr. Snerdley, I understand what it’s all about now. I am the Last Man Standing, ladies and gentlemen, with all of you, too, but I’m talking about it in terms of national figure. There’s nobody in the Republican Party, there is no elected Republican Party leadership. I’m it. I am the one resisting the tug of popular sentiment. The whole country — well, not the whole country, but a good portion of the whole country has checked their brains at the door. They have just gotten caught up in this wave of popular sentiment. Newt Gingrich is caught up in it, Tom Coburn is caught up in it, the entire Republican Party, except maybe John Cornyn and Jeff Sessions, are caught up in it. Kay Bailey Hutchison running for Texas in 2010, she’s not caught up in it, but most of the conservative media totally caught up in the tug of popular sentiment.

Okay, so there’s gonna be some argument about that last part…..but for the most part he’s right.

Hope y’all are stockpiling (or have been for some time now), cause it’s gonna get ugly fast folks.

Hasn’t even started the new job and it seems the Demoscum have all the answers. Al-Obambi says our economy is going to get worse before it gets better (no schiatzu Sherlock), but to ensure it DOES get better the Manchurian Muslim is going to see to it that he extracts $1 trillion from us for a “stimulus” package. Go here for the details.

So how much IS $1 TRILLION exactly? Try this on for size:

Let me give you a handle on how big $1 trillion is. NASA has a budget. You know the people, they send up space planes and the space station and all the satellites and everything else that NASA does? NASA’s budget is $17 billion. The post office’s budget is $34 billion. The Department of Labor is 10, EPA is 7. Treasury, well, this has got to go up. Can you check on this, Joe? It’s only $12 billion, but they’ve got to be spending a lot more on ink and paper right now. Treasury department is $12 billion. Department of Energy is $24 billion. The Department of Transportation is $12 billion. Justice is $20 billion. Agriculture is $20 billion. Department of Interior is $10 billion. Department of Homeland Security is $120 billion. That’s $286 billion for all of those: NASA, post office, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Labor, EPA, Department of Treasury, Department of Energy, transportation, justice, agriculture, and interior, $286 billion. Obama wants a $1 trillion stimulus package. By the way, if you add in the defense budget, the Department of Defense budget for 2009 is $515 billion. Half a trillion dollars. Add that to all of the other departments I just gave you, that’s $801 billion. You still have $200 billion left before you reach the new Democratic stimulus package of $1 trillion.

Soooooo, given that as of last month the US population was 305,682,072….then that means the Demoncrappers “stimulus” package is going to cost each American roughly $3,271.37. Don’t know about you folks, but even my 401k doesn’t have that in spare change just ready to “give” to the government to get the economy jumpstarted.

Hey Al-Obambi, do us a favor. Get government out of the equation.

Like THAT is really going to happen.
